Research
I am a sociocultural & computational linguist who uses qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. My research studies languages and the people who speak them.
Teaching
I have taught courses in English, Japanese, Interdisciplinary Studies, General Linguistics, Pedagogy & Professionalism, Phonetics, and Sociocultural Linguistics since my teaching debut in 2015.
Advocacy & Leadership
I was highly involved in student activism, mentorship, and graduate student life during my PhD at UC Santa Barbara. These days I volunteer at my local wildlife center.
